LittleHouse audition for the Texaco Country Showdown June 1st 2011

LittleHouse will be auditioning on June 1st  2011 at the Coyote Maverick, Danbury Ct. Auditions run from 8 to 10pm.

The Country Showdown has opened doors for many of country music’s most popular artists. From Martina McBride and Tim McGraw to Miley Cyrus, Brad Paisley, and Miranda Lambert, the Country Showdown has a proven track record of finding the next Country Music Legend.

It's America’s longest-running and largest talent search, is a synergistic promotion incorporating all forms of media. It is a year-long competition that begins with over 500 live, family-friendly shows produced by participating country music radio stations across the country. Local winners then advance to State and Regional Showdowns held at major entertainment venues where the field is narrowed to five National Finalists. These five then compete in a nationally syndicated Television Special at which the winner receives a Grand Prize of One Hundred Thousand dollars. The television special features major country music artists like LeAnn Rimes, Willie Nelson, Montgomery Gentry, Reba McEntire, Barbara Mandrell, Miley Cyrus, Sara Evans, and Loretta Lynn.

LittleHouse Update

Hello from Joe,

Hey, we made it ”big” into the Sunday Times last week. Hope you caught the article. If not check it out on LittleHouseLive.com press page.

Well it’s half way through February and we have only four weeks to go ‘till the March 12th show at the Warner. We are busy re-tooling the act - it’s a lot of work - hence we are not having any barn shows this month.

We are adding new songs, two live video cameras and “The Cupcakes”, two 13 year old girls who will join Jessica on vocals to create an Andrew Sisters-like overlay to two of our up tempo Texas swing numbers.

Overall we are trying to operate 2011 as a combination of “free” barn shows and outside ticketed shows at various theaters. Please support us in both endeavors, as the band is at the cusp.

Barn shows will be announced in the old manner via email and via listings on our web site. Outside shows in the near future are:

March 12th – Warner Theater in Torrington –Lupus charity

April 23rd – Bridge Street Café in Collinsville – Cabaret setting

April 30th – The Kate in Old Saybrook –A Kate charity event

May 27th –Warner Theater in Torrington (second Lupus charity event show added)

BTW, my friend Jim Vicevich, the “voice” of WTIC AM, is a special guest at each of the Torrington shows. Also my new BFF Mark Mitchell from The Mitchell Auto Group is hosting a “food” hospitality table at the Warner shows .

Of interest, I sent the “Old School” CD to a pro screening company, for their opinion. Out of the 1,000 CDs they have reviewed ours is in the top 50. Very encouraging!

Thanks as always for your continued support.
